Social Media Guidelines

OUR VALUES

Social Media Guidelines

At Feline Guardians, our shared goal is to protect animals, support victims, and raise awareness in a responsible and compassionate way. To keep our community safe, respectful, and effective, we ask everyone to follow the guidelines below when participating in discussions, posting content, or representing the organization. These rules are here to help us advocate for animal welfare thoughtfully, lawfully, and with care for both people and animals affected by abuse.

Content & Posting Standards

Explicit Content

It is prohibited to post explicit content of animal torture unedited, even if a trigger warning is provided.

Doing so is disrespectful to victims and can be deeply traumatizing for viewers.

ZERO TOLERANCE

Violent & Abusive Language

Any form of violent speech, threats, or harassment is prohibited.

This includes language directed at abusers or detractors.

Fundraising & Representation

  • Donations: Do not ask for donations in Feline Guardians posts or activities, and do not use the Feline Guardians name to fundraise for other organizations or causes.
  • Fundraising Needs: Any fundraising needs should be discussed with the main Feline Guardians accounts to ensure clarity, accountability, and alignment with our mission.
  • Logo: Please do not use the official Feline Guardians logo on your social media accounts or posts you create on your own. This request is not new; this has always been the direction given regarding the logo.

Legal & Ethical Responsibilities

Copyrighted Material

Do not use copyrighted or trademarked materials without explicit permission from the owner.

Enforcement

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in temporary or permanent suspension from the Feline Guardians community, depending on the severity of the violation. These guidelines are a living document and may be updated as needed to keep our community safe, respectful, and focused on our shared mission. We are open to feedback, so please contact us with questions or concerns, or to add something to the guidelines you feel was missed.
